About George Hornedo

George Hornedo is an attorney, political strategist, and former congressional candidate from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is the founder and president of Hornedo Strategies, an advisory practice working at the intersection of politics, public policy, communications, and institutional change.
In 2026, George was a candidate for Congress in Indiana’s 7th Congressional District, mounting a grassroots challenge to an eighteen-year incumbent. The campaign focused on government effectiveness, accountability, and the future of public institutions—building a broad coalition of supporters across Indianapolis and generating national media attention.
Prior to launching his congressional campaign, George served in a variety of legal, political, and public affairs roles at the local, state, and national levels. Most recently, he was a Public Affairs Attorney at Ice Miller LLP, where he advised corporate, municipal, and nonprofit clients on government affairs, public policy, communications, and strategic engagement.
George’s political experience includes serving as National Delegate Director and National Deputy Political Director for Pete for America during the 2020 presidential campaign, where he led delegate operations and ballot access efforts across the country. He previously served as Regional Delegate Director for Hillary for America, Outreach and Engagement Coordinator for the Clinton-Kaine Transition Project, Senior Policy Advisor at Let America Vote, Mayoral Outreach and Engagement Consultant for the Obama Foundation, and Regional Voter Protection Director for the Texas Democratic Coordinated Campaign.
George began his career in the Obama-Biden Administration, serving as a communications aide at the U.S. Department of Justice under Attorneys General Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch.
He earned a B.A. in Government from Cornell University, an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a J.D. from The George Washington University Law School.
